Born and brought up in Shillong, Neelakshi holds an MPA and a Ph.D. degree from The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse, NY.

She has varied experiences both as an educator, researcher, administrator, and policy analyst - working with the Government of Assam, Syracuse University, and The World Bank in Washington DC.

Besides learning, she is an avid skier, mountaineer, and nature enthusiast.

She is recognised as 40 Most influential Indians under 40 for 2018 and was awarded as Women Entrepreneur of the Year 2018. She has founded multiple ventures and has also had successful corporate stints at senior executive level with companies like GE, Dell. She has hands on experience in running and operating a preschool and is the chief architect of the international curriculum based on Multiple Intelligence and STEM for Little Einsteins.

He has been recognised as Top 50 most admired Global Indians and is an experienced serial entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of building and scaling businesses in the information technology and services industry, consumer services, education and hospitality. He has worked for more than a decade with leading corporates at senior leadership positions for international customers. He is an active investor, mentor and board member at various start-ups.
